Razor burn?

I have very sensitive skin, and if I try to shave every day I end up bleeding, having immensely itchy skin and getting inflamed hair follicles.

It doesn't seem to make a difference as to which type of razor I use, or the type of shaving gel.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to how to avoid the burn?

Razor burn?
Here are a few things to remember and try when shaving:

Soak in your bath tub first to soften both hair and skin for at least 10 minutes before you shave, if you shower, 10 minutes there too but tub soak is better.

Use a sharp, new razor and DON'T press hard. It seems that that is your number one problem, you are pressing too hard and shaving your skin and not your hair. Let the razor do the work. You would be surprised how easily you can nick and cut yourself by just pressing too hard. And you will be easily surprised to find that you have to barely press with a razor to get a nice shave without nicks and cuts.

Use pure coconut oil as a shaving lotion. I have for years and never have razor burn, nicks, or cuts unless I press too hard any more.
Reply:have you tried nair or veet?...veet has a razorless blade that helps remove the hair better...and its alot better...theres a possibility that you might be shaving your lets to hard and to fast....slow downa little bit...see if that helps..

god bless
Reply:You should try using Nair hair removal cream. Instead of shaving
Reply:Have you tried an electric razor?
