I break out on my legs with acne, and get dry itchy skin. I however have no pain. This has been since high school. I am now 25, and have been told that it may be staph infection. If i have no pain/ green puss am I safe? Or should i bite the bullet and pay for a doctor? PLEASE TAKE IN MIND I HAVE NO INSURANCE
How do I tell if I have staph infection?
Can you go to a walk in clinic? They are less expensive than a private Dr. office. I think you need to be evaluated for sure, why are you putting up with a chronic condition that might be cleared up with just a visit or two and a round of antibiotics?
And be sure to ask for a generic or lower cost prescription if it is a available.
Good luck!
Reply:Neosporin is an over the counter med. Contains antibiotic. Cheap about $7.00. 1st aid aisle. Rite Aid or Walgreens.
Look for it at www.drugstore.com for more favorable pricing.
Try that stuff first for a full 7 days. See what happens.
