Hi I am Meghan. I have been losing wieght when I try not to. I have been very hungry and tired lately. I am also using the bathroom way more that usual. I have dry itchy skin. I have been very, very thirsty lately.

Reply:You have the classics. Extreme thirst is due to the huge increase of urination. This occurs due to the prescence of sugar in the urine. You feel tired and hungary becuase your body is not using the sugar like you should.

Reply:you have the symptoms. now you need to go get you blood sugar tested, if you have 3 tests above about 130-140 you get an official diagnosis.
Reply:I have never heard of itchy skin but the other symptoms can be due to diabetes. There are plenty of other explanations too though. The best thing you can do is go to your doctors. They will probably ask for a urine sample which they can test for sugar straight away by dipping an indicator stick into it. If this comes out positive they will probably do a blood test before confirming diagnosis. It is important to get the proper medical advice when you suspect diabetes so it can be controlled if it does turn out to be that.

More infections than usual.
