I have all the symptoms of diebetes, but the doctor said im not, what do i have?

i have all the symptoms of diebetes:


extreme thirst


peeing every hour


leg pain


some leg numbness


itchy skin


increased hunger


ehausted feeling


haveing a hard time wakeing up


getting sick with large amounts of sugar or carbs





but the doctor took a blood test and said im not. i also get moody if i havent eaten in a while





what do i have?

I agree with #2. you have to have the correct test done before it is properly diagnosised. Are you sure that the Dr gave you the proper test? Did your Dr do a Hgb A1C on you. This is a simple blood test that will shows an average of 3 months glucose in your blood stream and they will be able to see if you have diabetes or not. One test strip for glucose will not cut it..... it won't tell you if you have diabetes or not. It will only tell you what your glucose is right then and there. It can be high or low at that particular time. If you would have had a candy bar before the test was taken... It would be high... So you can have something to do with the outcome... With the Hgb A1C... you don't.... it is a tube of blood. So make sure your Dr does the right test.. It will be worth it. You sound like you are having hypoglycemic reactions... Which is low blood sugar. That too is still part of diabetes.
Reply:It sounds like you have hypoglycemia. I've had it my whole life and have had most of those symptoms if I don't follow a proper diet.
Reply:You could also have pre-diabetes. and if the blood test isnt done right it can be missed, and so can diabetes if an A1c TEST ISNT DONE!


gO TO diabetes SITE AND CHECK IT OUT AND HAVE YOUR DOCTOR DO THE A1c test. I would go to another doctor if he doesnt seem to take this seriously !!!


You could be hypoglcemic, go to that site to, but you need another COMPLETE blood test run!!!

If you are pre-diabetic or diabetic, they will try to control it with diet 7 exercise. If you are over-weight, I'd say you are diabetic or are about to be!!! So, if over wt. get on Nutra-system for diabetics now!!!and get the weight off %26amp; keep it off!!! If you can prevent yourself from becoming diabetic that will be wonderful!!! My life insurance went up by 5Xs as much when I became diabetic %26amp; the ins. co. will always consider me diabetic even if my BloodSugar becomes normal again! My ins was $13 a month, now it's $64 !!!!!


Diabetes meds are expensive too and so are the test strips -- they are $1 per tiny little strip %26amp; you gotta test 3 to 8 times a day!!! My meds are $200 a month!!!


I had to try 2 different docs and 3 diff. meds b4 i found what was best for me! The 1st doc wouldnt listen to me and even tho I told her the med made me so sick I almost ended up in hospital, she gave me the same meds in a diff. form!!! I didnt fill it and found a new doc!!! This lady listened and put me on ACTOS which is wonderful -- it controls my BS !!! But M. (cant remember name was terrible %26amp; Glipizide almost landed me in hospital!!! So, if a doc gives you meds and you start to feel bad, stop the drug! Go to the doc or call and get her to put you on another med, that goes for any illness or disease! Not everyone can handle certain meds!


But 1st get diagnosed %26amp; get proper care !!!

Reply:you might just have an ellergic reaction to something . you might be having a hard time during flu season . the best thing i reccomend is googling it , my gad had prostate cancer and he learned to google then now he is cancer free = ) . ulle be fine = )
