im a very rare drinker. im asian. and i would really appreciate any suggestion. my whole back would get so itchy after i drink any alcoholic drinks. the first night it would turn into a rash (red and white patches of skin) then i would get this really bad urge to scratch. and it would feel so good to just scratch it. but then as soon as i scratch it would feel so hot and the itching would get soooo bad. its so hard to get some sleep. i have to restrain myself from scratching or else it wont let me stop. please i need any advice. im so desperate. it only happens when i drink: anything with vodca and for some reason tequila (margarita). when i drink wine or zinfendel i dont get the same reaction. anyone else got the same problem as me? please help.

Have you ever heard of asian flush? It is very common amongst asians when they drink... they become slightly inflamed, and get red about the face and body. If it irritates you, you may consider stopping the boozing.
Reply:Not to be rude or anything but some asians have a gene that cannot tolerate alcohol, it actually makes you allergic to it and that's probably why you're breaking out in a rash, and it's probably hives, they tend to burn and make you very unconfrotable. I know this because my step-grandfather who's a doctor has this very same problem. I've seen him do his little hive dance...
Reply:Asians often do not metabolize alcohol or milk enzymes.
It may trigger diabetic rash too.
Don't drink.
